Open House

Experience the academy (Preschool–Grade Eight) during our open house, Sunday, Jan 27, 12-1 pm, potluck lunch; 1-3 pm, example school day. Sample our curriculum. See teachers and students in action. Focused on classical Christian education in the Lutheran and liberal arts tradition, we emphasize the foundational disciplines of reading, writing, and mathematics. A family-like atmosphere and partnership with parents lets us work, play, and pray together. Experienced teachers, low student-teacher ratio, and standardized testing demonstrate our commitment to students, to parents, and to excellence. 22nd ANNUAL CHRISTMAS SERVICE OF LESSONS AND CAROLS

December 5, 2012

The 22 nd Annual Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols will be at 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 21. This years’ service will be held on a Friday night, after the Fish Fry. The Peace String Ensemble will begin playing Christmas music in the nave at 6:30 as the congregation and the Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. This years’ service will feature traditional carols and some special arrangements of familiar carols by Hildegarde Fischer, a member at Peace Lutheran Church. Over 50 singers from the choirs of the congregation will help lead the service. We invite you and your friends to the Fish Fry and then to stay for a delightful evening of Christmas Story in song.

50th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

September 26, 2012

We celebrate our 50^th Anniversary with a Hog Roast and Country Dance Party on Saturday, October 27, from 12-5 p.m. The congregation extends an invitation, especially to previous members, to attend this homecoming celebration. Tickets for dinner are available through the church office. Dinner begins at 1:00 p.m.; dance starts 3:00 p.m. Two special services observe 50 years of God’s grace: an Anniversary Festival Service Celebration on Sunday, October 28, at 7:45 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and a Memorial Service for All Saints with a Commemoration of the Faithful Departed on Sunday, November 4, at 7:45 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Contact Peace to RSVP: (262) 246-3200.

Photographers will be available at church Tuesday through Saturday September 4-8, 2012, to photograph members for our 50th Anniversary photo directory. Members are strongly encouraged to particpate in making this directory as complete as possible. You may schedule your family’s appointment two ways:

1) In Person at the Anniversary Table on Sundays or the Church office during the week

Religious Freedom and Defense of the Unborn

On behalf of the South Wisconsin District of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, Pastor Bender and District President Rev. Dr. John Wille, commended the Roman Catholic Church and Milwaukee Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki for their courageous stand on religious freedoms and defense of the unborn. The resolution from the district and a letter to the Archbishop from synodical President the Rev. Dr. Matthew Harrison was presented to the Archbishop at the 19th Annual Symposium of the Concordia Catechetical Academy on June 21, 2012. Watch the presentation and CBS 58 News story on the event.
